The suburb of Troyeville is situated very close to the east of the CBD area of the city of Johannesburg. Neighbouring areas include the suburbs of Fairview, Jeppestown, Kensington, Bertrams, and New Doornfontein. Being so close to the city centre, means there are quite a few main roads in the area. One of these roads that lead from the city right through Troyeville, is the Albertina Sisulu Road.
The main properties for sale in the area include flats and apartments with a few houses also available. There are also some commercial properties for sale, along the De Bergen Street. The Troyeville Primary School as well as the Central Johannesburge TVET College can be found next to each other in the suburb. One of the Oldest Baptist Churches, found in South Africa can be found in the area.
Situated almost in the centre of Troyeville, is the David Webster Park. Here residents can come and enjoy the recreational space that provides jungle gyms, slides, a basketball court and more. Close to the park is a unique Spaza Shop and Art Gallery, where the owner has a tea garden. The artwork is made out of recycled objects and you can view the pieces as you walk through the garden. On display, you will also find a number of up and coming local artist pieces.
The Ellis Park Stadium is nearby as well as the Johannesburg Stadium. The Jozi Mall is located a short distance away to the south and the China Mall can easily be reached to the north of the area.
